Hitachi enters OEM agreement with Mecalac04.10.2015 9.00
Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) has announced that it has entered into an OEM agreement with Mecalac Baumaschinen GmbH (Mecalac). The agreement covers the manufacture of compact articulated wheel loaders complying with EU emissions Stage IIIB by Mecalac at its factory in Büdelsdorf, Germany. “HCME is continuously striving to offer the most reliable solution to our existing and prospective customers across all of our European territories,” says HCME’s President and CEO, Moriaki Kadoya. “This will provide Hitachi customers with the best technology in this market sector in combination with the consistently high level of after-sales support supplied by HCME’s dealer network.” Three new high-performance models – ranging from 4.9 to 5.4 tonnes – are included within the agreement: the ZW65-6, ZW75-6 and ZW95-6. These will be sold under the Hitachi brand in its distinctive orange colour through HCME’s authorised dealer network. All machines offer a self-stabilising articulated pendulum joint that increases the stability and allows for a perfect driving experience, an overall height of less than 2.5m, and a 100% differential lock in the front and rear axles that can be engaged on demand for unconditional traction of all wheels, even when working on rough ground. Each model is equipped with a mono-boom, which provides excellent all-round visibility on busy job sites. “This range of articulated wheel loaders has been continuously updated and offers the best design on the market,” says President and CEO of Mecalac Group Henri Marchetta.
